How much do Care Support Workers get paid?

Depending on the location, Care Support Workers typically earn £19,000-£22,000 when they work full-time. If you are available and meet the needs of our clients, you may be able to work more hours and earn more. With Cygnet, you will have access to a pension plan that includes contributions from you and us- helping you prepare for the future and plan ahead.

What hours are available?

We offer a range of hours to meet your needs and the needs of the people we care for. For example, working hours can include part-time, full-time, evenings, mornings, and weekends. Cygnet Hospital Colchester is a 54 bed service providing a range of intensive support and rehabilitation services for men with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders or mental health needs.

The aim of our services is assessment, stabilisation, treatment and engagement, with a view to supporting service users in the least restrictive environment appropriate to their needs. Our services are recovery-focused, with the aim of preparing individuals for a move to rehabilitation or step-down services, and ultimately, back into the community wherever possible.
